No Scrolling (DLS) Text
Question...
Scrolling DLS text is missing. Why?
Answer...
Devices like the Highway radio that include a VDU (Visual Display Unit) that are placed in the driver’s field of view are not allowed under current Australian Road Rules, and subsequently we have removed the scrolling text feature (DLS) on the Highway radio. This applies to all DAB+ International markets including Australia .
There are specific exemptions for products designated as 'driver’s aids' into which navigation systems fall as well as other specific systems like dispatch systems for Taxi, Courier and Emergency Services vehicles, but regrettably Highway cannot be exempt with these devices.
