'Apache Tomcat error HTTP status 404' when activating Pure Connect account

The problem you're experiencing is due to embedded security software built in to the email client used by the Tiscali mail service - which is blocking the use of the activation link within your Pure Connect activation email.
 
There is currently no work around for the problem other than using any other email client such as the free Hotmail and Google Mail services.
